The 'home base' for the event will be Cathy Freeman Park (formerly known as the overflow) situated in the middle of Sydney Olympic Park. The grass setting, near the Olympic Cauldron (reinterpreted as a water feature), and in the shadow of the Olympic Stadium, is a perfect setting. Registration, chip collection and presentations will be made in the park.
A number of food vendors will also be operation. These include a coffee van.
Athletics NSW sponsors will also have a presence within the park.
